Fuel Supply Notice (Thursday, September 13): As Florence bears down on the Carolinas, the impact of this Category 2 hurricane is far reaching. Forecasted to deliver high storm surge, heavy rain and strong winds from Duck, NC to South Santee River, SC the effects of this slow moving storm could last long into the weekend.
Terminals throughout the Carolinas have begun shutting down, and delivery options are more and more scarce. Our supply and logistics teams are working around the clock to deliver every gallon that is available, and have deployed trucks from other World Fuel Services regions to assist with deliveries once it is safe for them do so.
We continue to strongly recommend you closely monitor fuel usage and take as many fuel savings measures as possible. We also ask that you make sure all your underground or above ground fuel storage is as secure and as water tight as possible.
